Genius is Elemental

Have you heard of Ken Robinson? His TED talk, “Do Schools Kill Creativity,” has been viewed 72 MILLION times.  If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend it.

Right now I’m rereading his book “Finding Your Element.”  I’ve listened to it several times and even read the actual book once.  This time I’m taking the time to annotate, do the suggested activities, and take notes.

It is that good of a book.

As a homeschooling mom who also has her own business, I don’t get to do this very often.  I have a list of books I NEED to get through.  I am constantly researching.  Constantly adding to my list.  I listen to most of the books I “read.”

But for some books, I HAVE to take the time.

This is one of them. It is the sequel to his book The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything.  (Another book I had to really read!)

Robinson’s “Element” helped inspire how I realize genius.

I almost got to see him in person.

I signed up to go to a conference he was speaking at in March of 2020.  I was literally boarding the plane when I found out that it was canceled due to COVID.  He died in August of that year.

One of the reasons I’m rereading Robinson’s book is to help me with my new program – Genius Game Plan.

If you know of a teen that needs some help to create an amazing future for themselves and the world, let me know.  I’d love to help.

I’ve put together a program for teens and their parents.

It is very straightforward and doesn’t take much time.  The teens need to do a few things and these are submitted to me. I go over them before we meet online for a 45-minute coaching call to discuss it and form a game plan for the future.

The Genius Game Plan is meant to give teens and their parents a vision for the future.
